AOAC has approved a method for the determination of D-gluconic acid for Enzytec™ Liquid

AOAC Official Method of Analysis (OMA) has recognized the status of the Enzytec™ Liquid D-Gluconic acid kit (Art. No. E8520) for the enzymatic determination of D-gluconic acid — one of the internationally recognized standards for analytical method validation.D-gluconic acid occurs naturally in wine, fruit juices, honey, and fermented products (including kombucha). As a food additive (E574), it is used as an acidity regulator and stabilizer.
The Enzytec™ Liquid D-Gluconic acid kit is designed for the determination of the total content of:
– D-gluconic acid
– D-glucono-δ-lactone
in the following sample types:
– fruit juices
– wine
– fermented beverages
– kombucha
– heat-treated meat products
Key benefits
– Liquid reagents ready to use
– No reconstitution required
– Reduced risk of errors and lower costs
– Simple two-reagent assay format
– Reagents stable until the expiry date (even after opening)
– Compatible with most biochemistry analyzers
Ease of use
– The kit is optimized for both small and large laboratories:
– Small laboratories can analyze a limited number of samples with the possibility of storing reagents for further use
– Automated laboratories can place reagents directly on analyzers with onboard refrigerated storage
Compliance with standards
The method complies with the requirements of leading industry organizations, including:
– AOAC
– AIJN
– EBC
